This year, The Indian Television Academy (ITA) celebrates 25 remarkable years — a silver milestone that honours not just talent, but the deep emotional threads that tie creators and viewers in the spirit of togetherness.
Founded in 2001 by visionaries Anu Ranjan and Shashi Ranjan, The ITA has become a trusted home for storytelling excellence, where every award carries the weight of passion, persistence, and purpose.
“Television is not just about what we watch — it’s about what we feel, what we share, and how we connect. The ITA is proud to have stood at the heart of that emotional journey,” says Anu Ranjan.
From timeless dramas that echoed through living rooms to bold digital experiments that broke barriers, The ITA has honoured every evolution of the medium — and every soul behind it.
A Moment to Remember
In the early days of The ITA, Ekta (Ekta Kapoor) once held the trophy and said,
“This is not just an award… this is the Oscars of Indian Television.”
That moment still lingers — not just for her, but for all of us. Because The ITA has never just celebrated success — it has celebrated shared dreams.
“We’ve seen the industry grow, break boundaries, and come together — and The ITA has grown with it. It’s not just about who wins. It’s about who we’ve become — together,” shares Shashi Ranjan.
As the 25th edition of The ITA Awards approaches, we look back with gratitude and ahead with hope — continuing to shine a light on those who move us, inspire us, and bring us closer with every story.
Because in the end, beyond the spotlight and applause, it’s the moments we create together that truly matter.
