World Photography Day, observed on August 19, is a good excuse to talk about actors who seem to have a natural understanding of the camera.
Some actors have a screen presence that stays with you long after a scene ends. Others have the kind of face that can make even a simple photograph stand out. And then there are those who seem to know exactly what to do when the camera turns their way, sometimes without doing anything at all.

His photographs have the confidence you would expect from a television leading man, but they don’t feel too rehearsed. And that versatility matters. The same face can work for a fashion photograph, a candid moment or a character-inspired shoot.
Sharad Kelkar: Sharad Kelkar has a commanding presence that translates remarkably well into photographs. His strong features and naturally composed demeanour give him an edge in both formal portraits and more relaxed shots. There is also a certain intensity to his gaze that can completely change the mood of a picture.
Farman Haider: Farman Haider brings a younger and fresher energy to the list. His photographs have a certain openness to them, and he carries both traditional and contemporary looks comfortably. As his career continues to grow, his ability to hold a frame is something that stands out. There is also plenty of room for experimentation, something photographers can have fun with as an actor explores different looks and moods.
