The 7th edition of the Moonwhite Films International Film Festival (MWFIFF) has officially begun in Mumbai, showcasing films from around the world. Presented by the legendary Anup Jalota in collaboration with SBI Securities, this prestigious event offers a global platform for filmmakers. The grand finale will took place on December 8 at the Mukti Auditorium in Mumbai, where a star-studded awards ceremony will be held with several prominent personalities as chief guests.

The unique film festival and awards function are organized by Devashish Sargam Raj, who ensures that the event is a spectacular experience for audiences, with music performances and other exciting entertainment.

This year’s festival saw the screening of various animation films, including the notable Baahubali: Crown of Blood Season 1, Episode 6, Dark Secrets. The film is produced by S. S. Rajamouli, Sharad Devarajan, Shobu Yarlagadda, and Jeevan J. Kang. The much-celebrated The Legend of Hanuman Season 4, produced by Sharad Devarajan, Jeevan J. Kang, and Makbul Sheikh, were also showcased. The feature film Jaya, starring actress Mahi Srivastava in a lead role, was another highlight.

The event was attended by several distinguished personalities, including founder Devashish Sargam Raj, jury member Suvashit Raj, co-founder Shipra Raj, composer Vivek Prakash, and Sonam Arora, among others.

Devashish Sargam Raj, the founder and director of the festival, expressed his excitement about the 7th edition, stating, “This is our seventh year, and we are thrilled. It’s an honor to have Anup Jalota’s blessings with us; he has been supporting us for years. We are grateful for his encouragement. Seven is considered a lucky number, and we are proud to have conducted screenings at INOX theaters this year. Our jury members selected 20 grand films for the screenings, and even during the COVID era, we held the festival online, which received a great response. It’s been a memorable journey.”

Eminent astrologer and jury member Pandit Suvashit Raj shared his thoughts on the festival’s growth: “Entering its seventh year, the Moonwhite Films International Film Festival continues to be an excellent platform for all kinds of films. Seven is truly a lucky number, but the eighth year will be even more fortunate. As a jury member, I’ve watched several films, and it’s clear that they were made with great effort and passion. The festival’s reputation has grown internationally, and the quality of the event has improved each year.”

Composer Vivek Prakash highlighted the significance of the number seven: “Seven is a special number—seven notes, seven seas, seven colors, and this is the seventh year of this festival. Devashish ji’s hard work has brought this festival to its seventh year. He deserves congratulations for organizing this event on a no-profit, no-loss basis, providing a deserving platform for talented artists.”

The 7th MWFIFF has truly become a beacon for filmmakers and artists, continuing to grow in stature and recognition with each passing year.
