Producer and writer couple Abhigyan Jha and Mrinal Jha are in a celebratory mood. The couple took home three prestigious awards at the recently held Telly Awards 2025. From Best Thriller Show to Best Director and Best Lyrics, they won awards in three categories in the evening. Their show Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak won the Best Thriller Show. Produced by Mrinal and co-written with Abhigyan, the show redefined thrillers on Indian television. It not only won accolades for its layered storytelling and cinematic visuals but was also appreciated for its gripping narrative. Adding further to their triumph was winning the Best Lyrics Award for Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. The award was shared by Abhigyan and Niranjan Bhudhadhara. The song made the narrative more interesting while elevating the mood of the series. Continuing their winning streak, Abhigyan also took home the Best Director award for their show Janani—AI Ki Kahani. It was India’s first show based on AI and was not only futuristic but also emotionally resonant with the audience. It challenged conventional storytelling on Indian television. Created by Mrinal and Abhigyan, the show revolved around the relationship between artificial intelligence and motherhood in a world where technology is rapidly redefining human boundaries. Together, Mrinal and Abhigyan have established themselves as not just visionary storytellers but also risk-takers who do not shy away from experimenting with bold and fresh content for the small screen. They have pushed the envelope, raised the entertainment quotient, and have paved the way for more innovative storytelling on TV, which is still stuck at the tried and tested elements.
