Naveen Kasturia and Mouni Roy’s latest venture, Salakaar, is finally out on JioHotstar. The series is filled with suspense, action, and emotional moments, all tied together with strong storytelling. Loosely based on real-life events, the series takes you into the life of a spy who was sent to Pakistan on a coveted mission.
The series boasts of realistic sets, stunning visuals, and a gripping screenplay that has been done with great attention to detail. The story is correctly paced, and though there are high-octane moments, you don’t miss a beat in the midst of the story. While there are some intense action sequences, you also get quieter, emotional scenes that stay with you even after the series is over.
The cast has brought life to their characters in a way that feels real. While Naveen’s performance as RAW agent Adhir Dayal brings an authentic and grounded approach to the series, Mouni’s character is intriguing, and she plays it with perfection. Mukesh Rishi is quite authoritative and dominant as General Zia-ul Haq, and Surya Sharma delivers a strong performance as Pakistani Colonel Ashfaq Ullah.
The on-screen chemistry between the actors is intense and makes the story even more engaging. The camera work too perfectly captures the tension and urgency of each moment.
