The TV show Lakshmi Nivas has reached a heartfelt milestone of completing 100 episodes. But the joy was doubled when Mumbai’s rickshaw drivers joined in the celebrations. The Lakshmi Nivas team invited real-life rickshaw drivers to their set for a special celebration.
Currently, in the storyline, Srinivas is portrayed as a rickshaw driver starting his second innings in life — all in the pursuit of owning a home. The entire cast joined the celebration. The rickshaw drivers engaged in heartfelt conversations with Srinivas and Lakshmi, sharing their real-life stories and experiences. Listening to their struggles moved Lakshmi, played by Harshada Khanvilkar, to tears. She encouraged them with warm and inspiring words.
Harshada shared, “I’ve often traveled by rickshaw in Mumbai, even late at night — at 2 or 3 AM — and I’ve always been dropped home safely. I’m genuinely proud of that.”
As the conversations continued, the Lakshmi Nivas family arrived on set, and together they celebrated the successful 100-episode milestone by cutting a cake with the rickshaw drivers.

Tushar Dalvi, who plays Srinivas, said, “Listening to these inspiring stories and the devotion these brothers have toward their families deeply moved me. Through Lakshmi Nivas, we’re trying to bring such real-life experiences to the TV screen. Today reminded us once again why we tell these stories — to reflect the strength and resilience of the common man.”
Taking time out of their busy schedules, the rickshaw drivers visited the Lakshmi Nivas set, shared conversations with Srinivas and Lakshmi, and took part in the 100-episode celebration. As a token of appreciation, Zee Marathi and the Lakshmi Nivas family gifted them a box of mangoes.
Don’t forget to watch Lakshmi Nivas, every night at 8 PM, only on Zee Marathi.
