Environmental conservation is one of the most critical issues of our time. Visual art serves as a powerful medium to raise awareness about this cause. The paintings by Nidhi Choudhari, IAS officer – Maharashtra cadre, and the Director of the National Gallery of Art, Mumbai, not only convey a strong message of environmental protection but also portray the harsh realities of the present, said Aaditya Thackeray, MLA from Worli.
Aaditya Thackeray visited the ongoing art exhibition by Nidhi Choudhari at the renowned Jehangir Art Gallery in Mumbai and appreciated her artwork, which reflects deep social consciousness.
Balancing administrative responsibilities with her passion for art, Nidhi Choudhari has been spreading awareness on environmental issues through her creative expressions. The exhibition, which will remain open to the public till June 22, showcases 40 paintings focused on environmental conservation, afforestation, and globally known folk stories and narratives around nature.
The artworks reflect not only love for nature and sensitivity towards ecological issues but also incorporate the philosophies of great leaders. This art engages the audience directly and inspires thoughtful reflection, said Aaditya Thackeray during his visit.
