Actor Srman Jain dons many hats, after working for shows like Adaalat, Saas Bina Sasural, Chhanchhan, Dadagiri, Comedy Classes, Mere Angne Mein, Trideviyaan he is also a successful director, it’s been quite sometime since Srman started directing music videos and his latest is Tum Kya Ho starring John Abraham and Sanjeeda Shaikh. Srman has directed this music video with Preet Rajput. And the most fascinating part of this song is the collaboration between Ankit Tiwari and Arijit Singh after a long time. When asked, Srman says, “This song is a collaboration between Ankit Tiwari and Arijit Singh after a long gap, which makes it extra special. It’s an international-style new age music video, shot in Alibaug but it gives the feel of being filmed abroad. It’s been an incredible experience working with such talented individuals, and I can’t wait for everyone to watch it.” Interestingly Srman has worked with John Abraham many years ago in the film Desi Boyz. Throwing more light on that, Srman says, ”John is very sweet and humble, and when I met him after all these years, having first met him during Desi Boyz in 2010 he immediately recognized me. That felt amazing. Sanjeeda, on the other hand, is someone I’ve always wanted to work with. She is kind, adorable, and naturally beautiful. I even made sure she used minimal makeup because she doesn’t need it! Both of them, along with their teams, felt like family, making the experience even better and memorable.” Srman shares the chemistry between John and Sanjeeda is excellent and he can’t wait for the world to see that. He adds, ”Their on-screen chemistry is amazing! They look so good together and complement each other perfectly. Sanjeeda has this natural charm, and John brings in his strong screen presence. Their chemistry will definitely be loved by the audience.” Srman feels the core of a good music video has to be the chemistry between the actors in the song. He says,”It’s crucial to create a connection that resonates with the audience. For this video, we brought in a new age feel and followed international standards to make it visually stunning.” On the certain growth of the music videos in India, Srman says, “Back in the 90s, it was harder to access music, but now with audio platforms and the internet, music is at everyone’s fingertips. Music videos have also become a glamorous medium, almost like short films. For TV actors especially, these videos offer a refreshing break from the monotony of daily performances. It’s exciting to see established actors stepping into this space, as it adds star power and elevates the appeal of music videos.”
