While being part of several major Bollywood projects, actor Adinath Kothare has been in the limelight lately. On one hand, his production house, Kothare Vision’s TV show Nashibwan, continues to do well, and now he’s gearing up for a new project. A few days ago, Adinath had surprised his fans with a special gift — the announcement of a new project. It was soon revealed that Adinath would be appearing in an upcoming web series, and the promo was also released. Recently, Adinath shared on social media that the much-talked-about web series’ mahurat has officially taken place.
Under the ZEE5 Marathi Originals banner, Detective Dhananjay will soon reach audiences, with Adinath portraying the role of a detective. What’s more, he will be seen as both actor and producer for this new web series.
The mahurat ceremony of Detective Dhananjay took place in Mumbai, and shooting for the series has already begun. The series is expected to premiere soon on ZEE5.
Two major production houses from the Marathi industry have come together to produce Detective Dhananjay — Srirang Godbole’s Indian Magic Eye and Adinath Kothare’s Storytellers Nook Pvt. Ltd.
The screenplay for the series has been written by Girish Joshi, and Srirang Godbole will be producing and directing it.
Speaking for the first time about Detective Dhananjay, Adinath said, “I’ve always been inclined towards bringing diverse and unique projects to audiences. The love I receive from them constantly motivates me to do innovative work. With Detective Dhananjay too, we are definitely bringing something special! The show will bring to life the character of Dhananjay, created by novelist Baburao Arnalkar. I will be taking on both acting and production roles for this, and I’m really excited about it. All of us are looking forward to offering something fresh and distinctive in the OTT space.”
