Actor Vishakha Subhedar will be honoured with the Ram Nagarkar Kala Gaurav Award 2024. The award is jointly presented by Ram Nagarkar Kala Academy and Belvalkar Sanskrutik Manch. This was announced by Ram Nagarkar’s daughter-in-law Dr Vaijayanti Vandan Nagarkar and Sameer Belvalkar of the Belvalkar Sanskrutik Manch.
The award was instituted in 2021 in the memory of the famous comedian Ram Nagarkar. The award function will be held on Saturday April 6 at 5.30 pm at SM Joshi Auditorium, Navi Peth. The entry for the programme is free for all on a first-come first-served basis.
Talking about the award, Dr Vaijayanti Nagarkar said, “During last year’s award ceremony, my husband Vandan Nagarkar announced that the next award would be given to the well-known and much-loved comedy actor Vishakha Subhedar and it gives us immense pleasure to take forward his wish after his demise last year.”
Dr Vaijayanti Nagarkar and Sameer Belvalkar said, “This is the fourth year of the award. In the previous 3 editions of the Ram Nagarkar Kala Gaurav Award, prominent comedians like Bhau Kadam, Nilesh Sable, and Sameer Choughule have been honoured. This year the award will be presented by Maharashtra Chi Hasya Jatra directors Sachin Mote and Sachin Goswami.”
The award function will begin with a presentation of Ram Nagarkar’s popular programmen ‘Ramanagari’ by Ram Nagarkar’s eldest daughter Manda Hegde. Along with this, post the award ceremony the audience will be able to enjoy Vishakha Subhedar’s interview conducted by well-known Marathi anchor Rajesh Damle.
