Zee Marathi is coming up with a story that delves into the importance of women and the role of a mother in a household. It’s challenging to consider the idea of perpetual development in a family where there are no women. A woman plays many roles in her lifetime. Therefore, labeling her as a superwoman isn’t an overstatement. In the serial Punha Kartavya Aahe, portrayed by Akshaya Hindalkar, who embodies the character of Vasundhara, she reveals that she has learned the essence of motherhood from her own mother, “I’ve heard somewhere that the form of Nateshwar is incomplete without a woman. Just like a deity’s perfection is incomplete without a woman, similarly, the world cannot function without her. I always feel fortunate to be a mother, and accepting or playing the role of a mother is also a different responsibility. At my home, my uncle’s son, who is like my younger brother, came into my life at a young age, and certain aspects of my life changed. But his arrival made everything better. I am less of an aunt and more of a mother to him. Whatever affection a woman holds naturally, she displays it towards her children. But there, I needed to put in some effort, just like a mother.”
She adds, “In Punha Kartavya Aahe, my mother and grandmother were my inspirations for Vasundhara’s role. The maternal instincts that a woman possesses, naturally reside within her. But there, I had to work a bit, just to resonate with how a mother feels. Our director, Shaillesh Sir, explains things so well that I have started understanding motherhood from a new perspective. I am fully confident that you will love this aspect.”
