Amar Chitra Katha, one of India’s most loved comic book brands, is set to bring India’s two great epics, the Ramayana and the Mahabharata, to Mumbai Comic Con 2026 through a special fan experience designed for readers, collectors, families, and comic-book enthusiasts. At an event known for global pop culture, manga, anime, superheroes, gaming, and fandom-led experiences, Amar Chitra Katha will present stories from the Indian epics in a format that encourages visitors to engage with the characters, conflicts, and ideas that have shaped generations of Indian readers. The brand will also launch Tinkle Holiday Special 56 at the event, with the Tinkle editorial team present for the release. The new edition is expected to draw young readers as well as long-time Tinkle fans who have grown up with its characters. In addition, Amar Chitra Katha will be announcing its upcoming book live on stage, giving fans an exclusive first look at what’s next from the brand. Amar Chitra Katha will also host a live on-stage quiz titled “Faceoff Quiz: Heroes vs Anti-Heroes of the Ramayana and Mahabharata.” Open to audience members, the quiz will invite fans to test their knowledge of the two epics and compete for exclusive goodies. Visitors can also explore new products at the Amar Chitra Katha booth, including the first-ever Ramayana Chest, a premium collector’s edition wooden box. New merchandise and games will also be available at the event. Fans will have the chance to meet members of the Amar Chitra Katha and Tinkle creative teams. Savio Mascarenhas, Group Art Director, will be present at the Artist Gallery for book signings. Gayathri Chandrasekaran, Editor-in-Chief of Tinkle, will be available on Day 1 for fan interactions and signings.
