Reflecting on shared traits and unique dynamics, Ranbir Kapoor remarked, “Sir ek aisi quality hai jo aap mein aur Abhishek mein common hai, aur ek aisi quality jo completely different hai… kya woh hume bata sakte hain?” (Sir, is there one quality that you and Abhishek have in common, and another that is completely different… could you tell us what they are)
Continuing with a playful touch, Ranbir added, “ Ek quality jo common hai, ek quality jo different hai… aur aap height nahi keh sakte, woh quality nahi hai..” (One quality that is common, one quality that is different… and you cannot say height, that is not a quality)
Responding with characteristic wit and a humorous nod to traditional folklore, Amitabh Bachchan quipped back, leaving the studio audience in splits, “Bahut pehle humne suna tha ki agar pita ke joote putra pehenna shuru kar de, toh fir woh putra nahi hota, woh mitra ho jata hai… Bhai saheb, unhone bahut pehle hamare joote le liye the, aur jitna jootha tha hamare paas sab unke paas pahunch gaya hai..” (Long ago, I had heard that when a son starts wearing his father’s shoes, he is no longer just a son; he becomes a friend. He took my shoes a long time ago, and whatever shoes I had, they all ended up with him)
The exchange brought a moment of warmth and laughter to the festive special, highlighting the camaraderie between the two actors.
The special episode, celebrating Diwali and the epic ‘Ramayana’, promises a blend of devotion, cultural grandeur and emotional moments. Actors Sai Pallavi and Ravi Dubey will also join Ranbir Kapoor for the special episode.
Kaun Banega Crorepati Diwali Special will air on October 29–30 at 9pm on Sony Entertainment Television.
