Two powerhouse performers of Marathi cinema, Sonalee Kulkarni and Amruta Subhash, who have won over audiences with their compelling acting over the years, are coming together for the first time on the big screen. Their upcoming film, ‘Parinati – A Change for Oneself’, is set to release on August 1, 2025. The film is directed by Akshay Balsaraf and produced by Parag Mehta and Harsh Narula.
The recently unveiled poster of the film features two women. Their contrasting backgrounds and emotional landscapes hint at the film’s core theme. It is the story of two women fighting for dignity, identity, and freedom. Though their reasons for the struggle are different, their ultimate goal is the same — to bring about change for themselves.
Speaking about the film, writer-director Akshay Balsaraf says, “In Parinati, I’ve brought together two women whose lives intersect at a turning point, leading to a deep friendship that changes their journeys. Sonalee and Amruta have poured their hearts into these roles. Parinati is a story of their journey, their rebellion, and their self-discovery. It will not only entertain audiences but also make them reflect.”
