Bollywood star Anil Kapoor has given a heartfelt shout-out to his co-star and friend Rani Mukerji, who will soon be seen on the big screen reprising her iconic role of Shivani Shivaji Roy in Mardaani 3. The latest instalment of the hit franchise is especially symbolic as it marks Rani Mukerji’s remarkable 30-year journey in the film industry. Anil Kapoor, joined in to celebrate this milestone that’s had a lasting impact on Indian cinema, and gave the industry its brightest star.
Taking to social media, Anil Kapoor congratulated Rani Mukerji and wrote, “30 years in this ever-changing industry and you continue to be accessible, sellable, tradable, watchable and above all, truly brilliant - as an actress, friend and human being! Congratulations on this incredible journey and wishing you all the very best for Mardaani 3. Always rooting for You.”
Rani Mukerji also recently penned a heartfelt note ahead of the release of the latest instalment of the hit franchise. Mardaani is India’s only female-led franchise and the country’s only successful female-led cop franchise in the history of Indian cinema.
Directed by Abhiraj Minawala and produced by Aditya Chopra, Mardaani 3 continues the franchise’s tradition of socially relevant storytelling. The film is scheduled to release in theatres worldwide on January 30, 2026.
