The upcoming film Swatantryaveer Savarkar has created a buzz with its intriguing Marathi trailer, featuring Randeep Hooda essaying the role of revolutionary Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, and Ankita Lokhande portraying his wife Yamunabai. Post the trailer launch event, Ankita and the team of Swatantryaveer Savarkar visited historical locations associated with Savarkar’s life.
Reflecting on her portrayal of Yamunabai, Ankita said, “Playing ‘Yamunabai’ required restraint, a quality I admire. I have endeavored to imbibe this trait from her. This significant quality inspires me to embody it in myself.” Ankita expressed her pride in her journey and hinted at more challenges ahead.
Directed by Randeep Hooda, Swatantryaveer Savarkar is set to hit theaters on March 22.
