Anupama Prakash has carved a niche for herself across films, web shows, and short films in multiple industries including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi cinema. Over the years, she has featured in projects such as Risknamaa, Prabha Ki Diary, Inside Stories: Handcuffed, Manglik, and Farzi Kaka. Apart from acting, she has also stepped into production with projects like Gajanan Aao Phir Ek Baar, Band Baja Aafat, and Ranjhan Milya, while also gearing up for upcoming ventures including Shart: A Weird Bet. Through her banner, Kaccha Lemmon Productions, she aims to support talented actors who are searching for meaningful opportunities.
Speaking about the vision behind her production house, she shared that she noticed many aspiring actors struggling to find genuine work despite spending years attending meetings and auditions. She explained that she wanted to create a space where deserving performers could actually get a fair chance to showcase their skills. She also revealed that she naturally gravitates towards stories rooted in realism and emotions that audiences can connect with easily.
Talking about her creative process, Anupama said she stays closely involved with writers and directors while developing projects. According to her, the team only proceeds with stories they genuinely believe in and carefully chooses projects to ensure quality remains intact.
She also believes that while trends may dominate the entertainment industry, strong storytelling still matters. For her, entertainment should go hand in hand with meaningful content, and she prefers projects that are both engaging and emotionally honest. Opening up about the realities of production, Anupama admitted that the journey comes with several hurdles, including financial pressures, team management, and maintaining professional standards in a competitive industry. However, she considers every challenge a learning experience that helps her grow further.
When it comes to casting, she looks beyond appearances and focuses more on confidence, screen presence, and genuine acting talent. She also emphasized the importance of preparation before shoots, revealing that narration sessions and detailed guidance help actors understand scenes and dialogues better, ultimately improving performances on set.
Looking ahead, Anupama hopes to continue evolving as both an actor and producer while building a strong identity for herself not only in Bollywood but on an international level as well.
