Actor Arjan Bajwa, known for his roles in films like Fashion, Guru and Kabir Singh, has surprised everyone with a drastic change in his appearance. The actor, who will next be seen in The Wives directed by Madhur Bhandarkar, has gone for a bold buzz cut, making him almost unrecognizable.
Talking about this transformation, he says, “I wanted to just completely get a new look. A mild change wouldn’t have made much of a difference, so I went drastic and got a buzz cut, which I’ve never done in my life.” He adds that the reaction from people has been quite shocking. “Most people are not able to recognize me at first. It’s been quite surprising to see their reactions,” he shares.
He further says that even now, many people fail to recognize him until he speaks to them. “The feedback I am getting is quite drastic because people don’t recognize me immediately. Nobody expected me to go for such a bold change,” he says. However, he adds that the response has been positive and people are liking this new version of him.
Speaking about how this change is helping him as an actor, he says, “As an actor, it’s a constant thing to evolve yourself, especially with your physical presence, and I feel this look is working for me.” He explains that earlier he was seen as more polished and groomed, but now things have changed. “With this new look, I am coming across as more rustic, earthy, aggressive and intense,” he adds.
Calling this phase “freedom,” he says, “It’s like turning over a new leaf. I feel very different when I look at myself now.” He also points out the practical side of this change. “Now doing my hair is much easier and more manageable,” he adds.
