While the evolving relationship between Kamali and Rishi continues to capture attention, a new character has now entered the story—one who is set to bring a significant change in their lives. Singer and actor Arya Ambekar has made a special entry in the show in the role of Anamika. Anamika is a bold, positive, and outspoken girl, and her personality will introduce a new twist in Kamali and Rishi’s lives.
Speaking about her experience shooting for these special episodes, Arya Ambekar said, “I received a call from Ocean Film Company for this special role. They asked me if I would be interested in playing a music teacher—a professor of music—in a college setting. I’ve always believed that acting and music are closely connected, especially when performing roles related to music. So I immediately liked the role and said yes. Zee Marathi has always been a very special platform for me. Many important milestones in my life have happened here. I was a contestant on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs, and later I also worked as a judge. I’ve acted in Zee Marathi films as well—this is where my acting journey began. I’ve also sung title tracks and romantic songs for their shows. That’s why Zee Marathi feels like home to me. Accepting this opportunity was very easy for me. My character’s name is Anamika. She is a very bold and positive girl. Her dialogues are strong—things we don’t usually say so openly in real life. I’m personally a bit shy, but Anamika is expressive and fearless. She speaks her mind clearly and will play a major role in bringing a new twist to Kamali and Rishi’s lives.”
On working with the team, she adds, “My experience working with the Kamali team was wonderful. The entire production is very well-organized, and they take great care of the artists. The facilities provided are excellent. The atmosphere on set is very positive—the director, creative team, and production team are all fantastic. Music is also an important part of my character, and I’ve sung a few songs in these special episodes.”
