Bangla ZEE5 Reveals The Trailer Of ‘Ronkini Bhavan’

Bangla ZEE5 launched the trailer of its upcoming original series Ronkini Bhavan, a psychological thriller set against the atmospheric backdrop of the suburban-rural belt of 90’s Bengal. Steeped in superstition, ritualistic fear and generational secrets, the series promises to take viewers into the mysterious world of a family and their belief in Ronkini Devi, an enigmatic local goddess seldom spoken about, yet believed to wield deep influence over the lives of the family members.

Directed by Abhrajit Sen, marking his second venture in the web-series space, Ronkini Bhavan brings together a powerful ensemble cast led by Shyamoupti Mudly as Juthika and Gourab Roy Chowdhury as Adityanath, both making their OTT debuts. The narrative follows a young bride who marries into a reclusive household where death is a known visitor and faith is entwined with fear, forcing her to confront a legacy that blurs the lines between devotion and darkness. Adding a unique creative voice to the project is Shruti Das, who steps in as the Creative Producer for the series.

The series also features stellar performances by Bidipta Chakraborty as Padmavati, Avery Singha Roy as Ballari, Siddharta Ghosh as Shibnath, Aniruddha Gupta as Rudranath and Ishani Sengupta as Kamalini. In a special highlight, Suhotra Mukhopadhyay makes an intriguing cameo as Manas Mahato, adding further depth to the show’s mysterious narrative threads.

“Bangla ZEE5 tirelessly works towards promoting the local content and Ronkini Bhavan adds a compelling chapter to that legacy. It is a story steeped in the soil and spirit of Bengal, with every character and custom feeling true to our home-grown heritage. This is exactly the kind of Bengali storytelling we champion at Bangla ZEE5, a culturally rooted drama that reflects our people’s lives and emotions," said Rusa Banerjee, Business Head, ZEE5 Bangla.

“Ronkini Bhavan explores a terror born not out of the supernatural, but of the human mind, tradition and the long shadow of inherited guilt. Within the secluded world of the Lahiri family, the series uncovers how rituals and piety have concealed a mysterious history. It serves as a stark reminder that the darkest evils often hide beneath the guise of devotion," said Abhrajit Sen, Director of Ronkini Bhavan.

With its richly crafted world, compelling ensemble cast and a narrative that draws from the shadowy small-town milieu of 1990s Bengal, ‘Ronkini Bhavan’ stands poised to deliver one of the most atmospheric psychological thrillers of the year. The newly launched trailer sets the stage for a series that blends tension, emotion, and cultural intrigue in equal measure.
