Iranian multidisciplinary artist Hasti Rajabi showcased her latest body of work, ‘Becoming’, at Vesavar Art Gallery, Pune. The exhibition, on view from November 2 to November 11, 2025, unfolded as a deeply personal exploration of transformation, emotion, and evolving identity, where each artwork mirrored the process of inner growth, healing, and rediscovery. The showcase was inaugurated on November 2 by Tehseen Poonawalla, political analyst, entrepreneur, and art enthusiast, as the Chief Guest.
Born in Iran and now based in India, Hasti Rajabi bridges her cultural roots with modern abstraction. Through the interplay of mixed media and delicate traces of Persian calligraphy, her art charted a journey from silence to expression, from vulnerability to strength.
“For me, art is not about reaching completion; it’s about embracing the journey of change,” said Hasti Rajabi. “Every layer, color, and texture holds a story of pain, peace, and transformation. My work reflects this continuous unfolding, reminding us that growth is not linear but an ever-evolving process of becoming.”
The exhibition featured a series of abstract, mixed-media works that transcended the boundaries of form and emotion. Each composition served as a visual metaphor for metamorphosis, where colors flowed seamlessly into one another and textures revealed the layered complexities of the human spirit. Rajabi’s work created a dialogue between emotion and expression, inviting viewers to find reflections of their own evolution within her art.

At its core, ‘Becoming’ was both intimate and universal, a meditation on the courage it takes to transform. Through her nuanced visual language, Hasti captured the essence of movement, emotion, and the invisible transitions that define the human experience.
“Hasti’s artwork resonates deeply with Vesavar’s philosophy that art is a mirror to our emotional evolution,” said Kavita Bhandari, Founder of Vesavar Art Gallery. “Her work speaks of strength, resilience, and self-awareness, offering viewers a moment of introspection and connection.”
Pranali Harpude, Co-Founder of Vesavar Art Gallery, added, “Hosting Hasti’s exhibition has been an inspiring experience. Her work transforms vulnerability into beauty and reminds us that art, like life, is an ongoing process of transformation.”
Ultimately, ‘Becoming’ celebrated the beauty of change, positioning transformation not as an end but as a continuous act of renewal. Through this exhibition, Hasti Rajabi invited viewers to pause, reflect, and embrace the courage it takes to keep becoming.
