Review: Aparshakti Khurana and Ishwak Singh Deliver a Dynamic Duo in ZEE5 Global's Berlin

ZEE5 Global’s Berlin, directed by Atul Sabharwal, is yet another proof to Aparshakti Khurana’s ever-growing range as an actor. His portrayal of a teacher for the deaf and mute, who unexpectedly finds himself embroiled in a high-stakes national security interrogation, is nothing short of gripping. Khurana’s eyes do much of the talking, embodying the quiet turmoil of a man caught in a web of doubt and heartbreak as the film unfolds. It’s a role that allows him to display both calm composure and internal chaos, a combination that makes him a standout.

Coming off the success of Jubilee, Aparshakti is cementing his place as a favorite in the OTT space, consistently delivering performances that linger long after the credits roll. In Berlin, his chemistry with Ishwak Singh is undeniable. The two share the screen with such ease, making their interactions not only believable but also compelling.

Ishwak Singh’s portrayal is marked by a powerful screen presence, and like Aparshakti, he brings depth to his role, matching the intensity of the story with precision. His performance is equally commendable, and together, the duo makes for a dynamic pairing.

Rahul Bose returns after a long break, playing a strict government officer. Though his role isn’t the main focus, his performance adds depth to the story, showing his skill at playing authoritative characters. Set in 1993 New Delhi, Berlin brings the tension and uncertainty of that time to life. Aparshakti’s character stays calm, even as the world around him becomes more intense.

Anupriya Goenka, in a brief appearance, proves that less is more. Even with limited screen time, she makes a strong impression, especially with her expressive eyes.

Berlin is driven by its strong performances, especially from Aparshakti Khurana, making it a must-watch on ZEE5 Global.
