Producer Binaiferr Kohli, who is known for her show Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, says that Holi is a big deal on TV. She says that every year, Holi is celebrated with special sequences in TV shows.
“Holi is still part of Bollywood as well as television. In Bollywood films, Holi is brought in the story as it takes the story forward. It also depends on the genre of the film to see if the Holi sequence can be incorporated or not. In the case of TV shows, usually Holi is celebrated every year. This year we also have a grand Holi sequence in all the shows with colors, dance,mithai, laughter, pomp & celebration.,” she says.
Talking about her favourite Bollywood Holi number, she says, “One of my favourite songs is Rang Barse from Silsila!”
Ask her what are her plans for this year, and she says, “Holi is one of my favourite festivals and I love celebrating it with so much colour. I would be celebrating Holi this year in my building. I wish peace and happiness for everyone.”
