The Bombay Art Society’s Art Carnival will get underway on May 22, 2026 at The Bombay Art Society in Bandra, Mumbai. The art show will showcase 90 artworks by 35 artists from across the country. Art Carnival will be on from May 22-28, 2026.
The Bombay Art Society (BAS), founded in 1888, one of the oldest non-profit art institutions in the Asian subcontinent promoting visual arts for 138 years, is presenting its series of Art Carnival exhibitions.
It has been a dream of every artist to exhibit in a metro city like Mumbai in search of a wider audience for their art! The financial capital offers continuously expanding art platforms and new art spaces, keeping the art scene vibrant as ever. Considering the art infrastructure limitations and other constrains in mind, The Bombay Art Society, launched a series of Art Exhibitions titled ‘Art Carnival’, which are group shows that promote emerging artists.

For over 138 years, The Bombay Art Society has remained committed to nurturing visual arts, and Art Carnival continues that legacy by making exhibition spaces more inclusive and affordable for artists.”
The Art Carnival aims to initiate direct communication between artists and art viewers including art writers and art buyers. There are many artists who stay outside major art markets and find it hard to showcase their art in the mainstream art arena. Through Art Carnival, Society aims to bridge this gap and provide artists with exposure for their art, simultaneously providing art collectors and buyers with access to that art.
