In an exclusive chat, Etienne Marques and Ruchi Nayak reveal the motivation and philosophy of their brand and more.
What motivated you to start The Catalyst?
Etienne: We have always been passionate about storytelling and its impact on shaping brands and people’s perceptions. After nearly two decades in the PR industry, we saw a gap for an agency that truly understands the power of end-to-end communication. The Catalyst was born to bridge that gap and create meaningful connections between brands and their audiences, aiming to build longevity with strategic Brand Relations.
What is the core philosophy behind The Catalyst?
Ruchi: Our core philosophy centers on authenticity and innovation. We are dedicated to crafting genuine stories that connect with individuals and nurture trust. We avoid a one-size-fits-all approach; instead, we tailor our strategies to highlight each brand’s uniqueness.
Share a challenging project and how you navigated it?
Etienne: One of our most demanding projects involved a crisis management situation with a high-profile client facing a significant public relations challenge. We acted quickly, conducted thorough research, and devised a strategic response plan. By maintaining open communication with the media, stakeholders, and the public, we minimized the impact and restored the client’s image.
Any new markets to explore or expand into?
Etienne: We are interested in exploring the technology and hospitality sectors. By entering these markets, we can help brands navigate unique challenges and opportunities. Additionally, we see great potential in expanding our services to international markets, using our expertise to connect with diverse audiences worldwide.
