Chef Harpal: TV Is Alive & Thriving

The second season of the hit culinary reality show Laughter Chefs wrapped up in style, with Karan Kundrra and Elvish Yadav being crowned the winners. Their fun chemistry, playful cooking style, and standout dish—a unique croissant-fruit fountain—won hearts and helped them lift the trophy.

Celebrated chef and show judge Harpal Singh Sokhi took to Instagram to share heartfelt moments from the finale. In his emotional note, he applauded the duo for their teamwork and the spirit they brought to the show. “Here’s the magical dish #croissantfruitfountain that the boys created to lift the trophy,” he wrote. “They were a perfect team—one understood cooking, the other was the ideal support system. It’s a beautiful example of how good partnerships work—filling in the gaps for each other, and Elvish did just that consistently.”

Chef Harpal also lauded the entire team behind Laughter Chefs 2, crediting them with reigniting interest in television entertainment. “To the entire team of #LaughterChefs—you created history! You brought audiences back to their TV screens, lifted the spirits of cable distribution and set-top boxes. That’s no small feat. It gave hope to those who once said ‘TV is dead’,” he wrote.

He praised production house Optimystix Media and the Colors channel team, giving a special nod to those who took creative risks and made the show a success. With a promise of more to come, he closed his note on an optimistic note: “With this, we as #LaughterChefs say – Pictures abhi baaki hai mere dost. We’ll be back soon!”
