Chiva-Som Hua Hin, the internationally acclaimed wellness destination, has officially launched Friends of Chiva-Som 2026, reinforcing its core philosophy that individual wellness and environmental sustainability are deeply interconnected. This initiative brings together inspiring advocates from diverse backgrounds who share Chiva-Som’s values, leveraging their collective voices to amplify awareness, purposeful action, and drive meaningful change for both people and the planet.
The 2026 initiative commenced with a vital community outreach mission on 7th June at Baan Pa La-U Noi Village in Hua Hin—a remote Karen hill tribe community facing limited access to healthcare. Driven by Chiva-Som’s long-standing commitment to community welfare, the resort conducts an annual medical mission to this underserved area. This year, the mission gained exceptional support from Belgin Aksoy, Founder of Global Wellness Day and a prominent Friend of Chiva-Som, who joined the Chiva-Som team to bring essential healthcare and holistic support directly to the villagers.
Inspired by this year’s Global Wellness Day #JoyMagenta theme, the activity combined Chiva-Som’s medical outreach with recreational experiences for local children, encouraging moments of joy, creativity, and human connection. Participants and villagers also came together for a collaborative painting project to celebrate the 15th Anniversary of Global Wellness Day, demonstrating how meaningful actions, however small, can create a lasting ripple effect.

Joining this environmental initiative is Natapohn Phornprapha, another dedicated Friend of Chiva-Som, who will join local students, Chiva-Som guests, and team members in planting mangrove trees at the Krailart Niwate Mangrove Preservation and Ecosystem Project.
As the last remaining mangrove forest in Hua Hin, this precious ecosystem has been continuously developed, preserved, and cared for by Chiva-Som since 2013. The collective effort aims to plant 500 mangrove trees, further contributing to the long-term protection of biodiversity and raising environmental awareness through hands-on participation.

From supporting underserved communities to restoring coastal ecosystems, Friends of Chiva-Som demonstrates how purposeful action can contribute to positive change far beyond the resort itself.
“At Chiva-Som, we believe wellbeing extends beyond the individual. It encompasses the people around us, the communities we are part of and the natural world that sustains us,” said Vaipanya Kongkwanyuen, General Manager of Chiva-Som Hua Hin. “Friends of Chiva-Som was created to amplify conversations around sustainability through people who genuinely share our values. Through these collaborations, we hope to inspire others to recognise that every positive action, however small, can contribute to meaningful and lasting change.”
For more than three decades, Chiva-Som has integrated environmental responsibility, community engagement and holistic wellness into everything it does, believing that wellbeing becomes truly meaningful when it is shared with people, communities and the natural world.
