The official declaration of the CineDreams International Film Festival took place on February 9 at the PVR Icon Theater in Mumbai, announced by founder and organizer Ayub Khan. The event saw the presence of key figures including producer-director Mehul Kumar, Dr. Yogesh Lakhani from Bright Outdoor Media Ltd, director Jay Prakash, and Parag Chhapekar, alongside several other distinguished personalities.
Ayub Khan, the festival’s founder and organizer, introduced the unique initiative alongside Sayeed Ahmad, promising to accept entries from every language and era for the film competition. Winners will be awarded cash prizes and certificates, making this festival stand out. Notably, the festival’s board of directors includes prominent names such as Pahlaj Nihalani, Lyricist Sameer Anjaan, Zarina Wahab, and Qauiser Khalid, adding prestige to the event.
The festival boasts an esteemed jury panel featuring Mehul Kumar, Komal Nahta, Seema Pahwa, and others, ensuring a fair and thorough evaluation process. The launch event also marked the unveiling of the festival’s website.
Ayub Khan, a veteran of the film industry, shared his excitement for the festival, scheduled to take place at Juhu PVR Cinema on May 28 and 29, 2024, with awards presented on May 30. His passion for films and filmmakers drives this initiative, aimed at celebrating quality cinema and its creators.
Guests including Mehul Kumar and Dr Yogesh Lakhani commended Ayub Khan’s vision and pledged their full support for the festival, expressing their best wishes for its success. Actress and influencer Ekta Jain gracefully anchored the launch event.
