At a press conference held at the Bright Outdoor Media Ltd office in Mumbai, Ayub Khan, the founder and organizer of the CineDreams International Film Festival, announced the lineup of feature films, documentaries, and short films selected for the festival. The event was graced by notable personalities including actor Rakesh Bedi, Dr Yogesh Lakhani of Bright Outdoor Media Ltd, Parag Chapekar and Rais Ahmad of Rassaz Group, among others.
Ayub Khan, along with co-organizer Sayeed Ahmad, highlighted that this festival is a groundbreaking and unique platform that has attracted more than 450 films in various languages from around the world. These entries were carefully reviewed by a distinguished jury and board of directors, and the winners will be awarded cash prizes and certificates.
The festival’s board of directors includes well-known figures like Pahlaj Nihalani, Shyam Singhaniya, lyricist Sameer Anjaan, Rais Ahmad, Zarina Wahab, and Qauiser Khalid. The jury comprises industry stalwarts such as Mehul Kumar, Komal Nahta, Sanjay Masoom, Jitendra Vats, Subhash Sahu, Parag Chhapekar, Rajeev Varma, Satluj Dheer, Saikat Das, Tushar Thorat, director KS Adhiyaman, Seema Pahwa, Atul Mohan, Latha Srinivasan, and Anil Dubey.
Ayub Khan, who has a rich history of over four decades in the film industry as a producer, director, writer, and distributor, shared that the CineDreams International Film Festival will be held at Juhu PVR Cinema in Mumbai on August 27 and 28, 2024, with the awards ceremony scheduled for August 29. Khan emphasized that his lifelong passion for cinema drives this festival, and his objective is to showcase high-quality films and honor their creators, rather than focusing on profit.
The event concluded with actor Rakesh Bedi, Dr Yogesh Lakhani, Rais Ahmad, Parag Chhapekar, and other distinguished guests applauding Ayub Khan’s vision and pledging their full support for the festival. They also extended their best wishes for the success of this unique cinematic event.
