Claudia Ciesla: Performing with Akshay Kumar is nostalgic, exciting, and emotional

Polish-born German actor and model Claudia Ciesla, who is a celebrity nutritionist and has appeared in movies like Khiladi 786 and Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3, among others, and was a contestant in the third season of the reality television series Bigg Boss, is excited for her upcoming performance at the Filmfare Awards. She will be seen dancing on the popular track Balma along with superstar Akshay Kumar.

She shared it is not just a stage but a heartfelt homecoming. She said, “It feels absolutely amazing! Balma will always hold a very special place in my heart—it was my grand entry into mainstream Bollywood and an unforgettable experience working alongside Akshay Kumar, sir. The song has such timeless energy that even after all these years, people still remember and dance to it. Performing it again, and that too on the prestigious Filmfare Awards stage, feels like life coming full circle. It’s nostalgic, exciting, and emotional all at once.“In fact, the announcement itself took her back to the sets of Khiladi 786, which was her big debut in Bollywood. She said, “I had goosebumps. I still remember the enthusiasm from everyone on set—the bright lights, the energy, the sound of the beat, and that incredible feeling of performing to such an infectious track, and how magical it felt to see the audience’s reaction when the song was released.”

“Those memories came flooding back, and now I get to relive them in a completely new way, with the same song but a fresh chapter in my journey,” she added.Claudia praised Akshay for being extremely professional, warm, and supportive, which made working with him a great learning experience. She said, “Over the years, I’ve grown personally and professionally, so performing with him again now feels different in the best way. There’s a sense of mutual comfort, respect, and confidence that comes with experience. The chemistry is effortless—it’s like we picked up exactly where we left off, but with a more mature rhythm between us.“Even the rehearsals brought their own wave of nostalgia. She said, “Back then, I rehearsed with the choreographer and his team and met Akshay sir directly on the Balma set. This time, I had the opportunity to rehearse with him before the show, which was amazing.”

“Watching him perform with the same energy, discipline, and precision after all these years was inspiring. At one point, when the music started and we did the first few steps together, I felt a wave of nostalgia—it was as if time hadn’t passed at all,” Claudia added.
