‘Daddy’s Home!’ Yash Roars In & as Raya in a Bold Toxic Birthday Reveal

Marking Rocking Star Yash’s birthday with a seismic reveal, the makers of Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups have unveiled the film’s character intro tease — officially introducing Raya played by Yash, through a powerful, bold, and high-impact announcement that commands attention from the very first frame.

Yash chose to introduce Toxic to the world by first unveiling its women — Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria — a move that underscored the film’s layered narrative and ensemble-driven vision. By placing the spotlight on the women before revealing himself, Yash signalled that Toxic is not built around spectacle alone, but around powerful characters who shape its world.

Set against the haunting stillness of a cemetery erupting into chaos, the tease opens in a blaze of action. Gunfire cuts through the silence, bodies scatter, and through the smoke emerges Raya — composed, unflinching, and in complete control. Armed with a tommy gun, he doesn’t rush the moment — he owns it.

As actor, co-writer, and co-producer, Yash once again steps into uncharted territory, embracing complexity, darker shades, and an international storytelling sensibility. Through Raya, he leans fully into experimentation — trusting creative courage and conviction, much like the defining successes of his past.

Building on the birthday glimpse unveiled last year, the newly released video expands the world of Toxic, offering a deeper, more immersive look into its action-driven narrative and striking visual universe.

Written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas and directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups has been simultaneously shot in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions planned in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and several other languages — underscoring the film’s global ambition.

The film features a formidable technical lineup, including National Award-winning cinematographer Rajeev Ravi, music by Ravi Basrur, editing by Ujwal Kulkarni, and production design by TP Abid. The action sequences are mounted on a grand scale, choreographed by Hollywood action director JJ Perry (John Wick), alongside National Award-winning action directors Anbariv and Kecha Khamphakdee.

Produced by Venkat K Narayana and Yash under the banners of KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on 19 March 2026, coinciding with Eid, Ugadi, and Gudi Padwa.
