Delhi based designer, Rajdeep Ranawat is set to captivate fashion enthusiasts with his latest masterpiece, the Spring/Resort Collection Nizam, debuting at Lakme Fashion Week on March 15 at 1.30pm. The prestigious event will take place at the illustrious Jio Garden, BKC, showcasing Ranawat’s exceptional talent and innovative designs on the runway. The Nizam collection represents Rajdeep Ranawat’s unique interpretation of a city steeped in history and romance, evoking a sense of timelessness that has inspired poets and artists for generations.
Inspired by the grandeur of the Royal courtesans of Awadh, and the namesake dignitaries of Hyderabad, Nizam seamlessly blends European elegance with the opulence of mid-18th century tapestry. The collection exudes a sense of festive celebration, marrying rich cultural heritage with contemporary flair, creating a mesmerising narrative that transcends time and trends.
A captivating palette of pale sea foam, withered rose, and pewter sets the tone, complemented by vibrant accents of mustard and garnet. Jewel tones of sapphire, ruby, and tourmaline infuse the collection with regal sophistication, adding depth and dimension to each ensemble, ensuring every piece is a work of art in its own right.
Ranawat’s signature style shines through in Nizam, as easy shapes crafted from luxurious silks are meticulously adorned with vintage metallic threads, lustrous pearls, and semi-precious gemstones.
