About Patrapatri and the Team Behind It
Patrapatri, produced by Badam Raja Productions and directed by Vijay Kenkare, features Prabhavalkar and Kenkare as Madhavrao and Tatyasaheb, respectively, performing readings of five distinctive letters, each with its own storyline. Notably, Kenkare first envisioned this project after reading Prabhavalkar’s Patrapatri book, which won a literature award and inspired him to create a dynamic recitation piece.
In Patrapatri, Prabhavalkar describes how he delved into the characters of Madhavrao and Tatyasaheb, blending his writing and acting skills to bring their personalities to life. He likens the ability to capture satire and humor to having a musical ear, saying that the audience will experience this fusion of wit and performance art.
