Actor Dipshikkha Nagppal recently opened up about the stark contrast she sees between today’s actors and the humility displayed by stars like Shah Rukh Khan in the early days of their careers. In a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, she reminisced about working with Shah Rukh Khan during the shooting of Koyla (1997), highlighting how different things were back then—especially in the absence of vanity vans or large crews.
Reflecting on the working environment of the 90s, Dipshikkha shared, “Back then, acting wasn’t seen as a prestigious profession like it is now. Everyone today wants to become an actor, complete with vanity vans and staff. During Koyla, Shah Rukh would rest right there among the coal mine equipment and lighting setups. The main focus was on getting the scene done on time.”
She also spoke about Salman Khan’s simplicity during his earlier films. “Big stars used to get a makeup room, but Salman would walk there alone—no bodyguards, no entourage. We all used to sit and eat lunch together. Today, after being in the industry for over 30 years, stars like him and Shah Rukh understandably have the fan following to make such demands,” she said.
