Influenced by the thoughts of Mahatma Phule, Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj in his childhood, and later Mahatma Gandhi in his youth, Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil recognized the importance of education and decided to start educational institutions in rural areas. At that time, societal dominance was rampant, causing children from the poor and marginalized communities to be deprived of education. Bhaurao Patil firmly believed that these children also had an equal right to education. Despite facing opposition from many people during that era, he continued his work in spreading education, holding on to the mantra “self-reliant education is our motto,” and established various educational institutions. Like students in urban areas, rural students began to turn towards education, thus helping to increase the literacy rate in rural areas. Bhaurao, who led Maharashtra towards education, became known as ‘Karmaveer.’ This biographical film depicting the life of a sage-like figure who strove to bring the flow of education to rural areas will be available to watch from July 19 onwards.
