For nearly a year, the audience has showered immense love on the show Lakhat Ek Amcha Dada and its characters. However, the show is about to witness a major change as Disha Pardeshi, who plays Tulja, bids farewell to the series. Let’s hear from Disha about her journey and the emotions she feels as she parts ways with the show.
“Playing Tulja was an incredible experience because, in reality, I am nothing like her. Tulja Nimbalkar is independent and decisive, and portraying her gave me a different kind of confidence. I learned so much from this character. In real life, I am lively and mischievous, but through Tulja, I got to showcase a different side of myself to the audience. Though I won’t be playing Tulja anymore, I will definitely take some lessons from her into my personal life. Many of you might be wondering why I am leaving the show. The reason is nothing beyond health concerns. Unfortunately, I had to make this difficult decision against my will. I tried my best to overcome it, but my doctors advised me to take rest. The entire team and I worked extremely hard to bring Tulja to life. I am certain that just as you loved my portrayal of Tulja, you will shower the same—if not more—love on the new Tulja.”
She adds, “Even though I am leaving, Lakhat Ek Amcha Dada will always be my show. I have been a part of this journey since day one, and even if my role ends here, I will always remain connected to it. For the last time, I sign off as Tulja with gratitude. May your blessings and love always be with me in my future endeavors.”
