Currently, several TV serials are being shot in the Satara Wai region, including Appi Amchi Collector and Paru. Recently, the new serial Lakhat Ek Amcha Dada is also being filmed in Wai. The lead actor of the show, Disha Pardeshi, shared her shooting experience.
“We are shooting in the Satara Wai area. Just before Wai, there’s a small village called Mayureshwar where our set is located. We have our mansion there, and we, the cast members, stay nearby. The special thing about shooting here is the place is incredibly scenic, with greenery as far as the eye can see. This makes my entire day very pleasant. There is no city-like traffic, fewer vehicles, and less honking. Because of this, I am able to truly live my character, Tulja. Satara receives heavy rainfall, but unlike Mumbai, it doesn’t cause waterlogging, so shooting isn’t disrupted, and we can fully enjoy the rain.”
Disha adds, “In Mumbai, we are surrounded by tall buildings, but here, we get to experience lush green nature, which looks even more beautiful in the rain. I was born in a small town where I completed my schooling, and my college was in Mumbai, at Ruia College. Although I travel the world for work, I had never experienced shooting in a village. Thanks to Lakhat Ek Amcha Dada, I got this opportunity. I must admit, I was very stressed initially, but after coming here, my life has sorted itself out. Many times, we had outdoor shoots where there was no phone network, and if this had happened in Mumbai, I would have panicked. But here, both work and mind are at peace. This is something I never experienced in the city.”
On her daily routine, she adds, “In the house where we eat, the aunt who cooks for us has her own farm, and she picks fresh vegetables every day to prepare our meals. I have never eaten such delicious food before. It’s completely organic and homemade, which I get to enjoy while shooting. Another thing I must mention is the number of peacocks I have seen here; I have probably never seen so many in my entire life. They even cross the road here. My day begins with the sound of peacocks. I don’t need an alarm clock here.”
She adds, “Talking about the experience of shooting in a village, I could go on and on. I will always be grateful to Zee Marathi and Vajra for giving me this beautiful opportunity and experience.”
Watch Lakhat Ek Amcha Dada every day at 8.30pm only on Zee Marathi.
