Actor Dushyant Wagh, who is known as the grown-up millimeter of 3 Idiots, is currently playing Banku in Rajan & Deepa Shahi’s popular show Anupamaa. It’s been more than a month for Dushyant in Anupama’s. He shares his experience of working in the show and says, ”I feel there could be no better opportunity which will knock on my door. Anupamaa is the most loved show in this country on the most popular channel. It also has the best team and people to work with. Banku is an amazing character with a lovely graph, what else an actor can ask for?” On his character Banku he says, ”Banku is like water. He is a pure soul. Whatever is in his mind, is on his face. He is naive like a child. He craves for family and Digvijay, Anupama didi and Jaya completes this circle for him.” Talking about the pressure of joining mid-way of the story he adds, ”It’s a big responsibility to join any show mid-way. But the team is supportive, understanding and considerate. Starting from the creative team, to direction team, to co-actors made me very comfortable from day one. So thanks to them this journey was very smooth.”
Dushyant has most of his scenes with Rupali Ganguly. On his incredible co-star he says, “Rupali jee, is adorable. She is actually my didi even off the sets. From the first scene itself she has been so supportive, accommodating and understanding that it never feels I’m working with such a senior artist. I must mention Sachin Tyagi sir as well. He is a gem of a person and created a great bond on the first day itself and maintained his happy attitude till date. It’s been bliss and of course a great learning lesson to work with both of them.” Dushyant also shares how his character Banku will move forward in the show. He says, ”Banku will have his own share of storyline and his contribution will directly contribute to the main character’s and their respective graphs in the screenplay. Alongside, Banku and Anu didi will always have a seperate bond and will continue supporting and loving one another.” On visionary Rajan Shahi, Dushyant says, ”In my opinion Rajan sir is absolutely spot on when it comes to entertaining the audience along with maintaining his values, ethics and responsibilities. It’s a difficult path to walk but he has been successfully doing it for past several years. I guess the discipline and the conviction he brings is outstanding. It’s a blessing to work under him and I consider myself very lucky to have this opportunity in my life.”
