Exclusive: Hrishitaa Bhatt: I wouldn’t change a thing about my journey

With over two decades in the industry, you still maintain a youthful appearance. Do you credit this to genetics, or do you have a dedicated fitness and health regimen?
It’s been two decades in the industry, and I credit both my genetics and my lifestyle. I follow a compulsive health regimen. I’ve always been an athlete, so fitness and balancing my life come naturally to me. Given the demanding schedules and travel, it becomes essential to be mindful of health. It’s a responsibility, especially when you’re working. The right amount of sleep, food, and physical activity are crucial. However, I must also credit my genetics. For me, health has always been about balancing mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical well-being. Since childhood, practices like yoga have been a constant in my life. As an actor, I believe that how you are perceived by people is very important, and it shouldn’t be taken lightly. Despite my good metabolism, I am always conscious of maintaining my health.

Your filmography showcases a diverse range of languages and industries. Which industry has been the most rewarding for you to work in, and could you share your most enriching experience from these films?
Every industry has been rewarding in its own way, but I must highlight the Hindi film industry as it nurtured me and gave me my break. This foundation allowed me to explore other films, and knowing multiple languages was a boon. Working in the South was also enriching, even though I did only two films there. Ultimately, a film is a medium to connect with the audience, which is a beautiful experience. I started with modeling, and the camera has always been my first love. This passion helped me grow and nurture myself through this medium from a very young age. Each industry has its unique story, but the essence of filmmaking remains the same. The language might change, but the storytelling and connection with the audience do not.

You ventured into production some time ago. Are there any plans to revisit production roles in the future?
Yes, I did venture into production, and I hope to revisit it. However, I haven’t found anything particularly interesting lately, and I’ve been busy with acting projects, which is my first love. But I am definitely open to exploring good content for production in the future.
