Actor Rohit Choudhary, who has done films like Gadar 2 and will be seen in The Maharashtra Files, shares his thoughts on Independence Day.

He says, “For me, Independence Day holds a deeper value. People of today’s generation don’t know the true value of independence. We were born in an independent India and have not seen the struggles of how India achieved independence. We have only read about the sacrifices made by many. I have met many freedom fighters and heard their stories about the immense struggles they have faced. I can understand the journey they took from being slaves to becoming independent.”

He also adds, “Today, people are taking independence for granted; they must respect independence and also respect those who helped us achieve it. We must always stand united for our nation so that we don’t become slaves again. I would urge today’s youth to be united, so we can progress further and make our ancestors proud, knowing that they have left the country in good hands.”

Sharing his plans for the most important days for all Indians he says, “I will celebrate Independence Day by exercising at home since the gym will be closed, watching some good movies, and attending the flag-hoisting ceremony in my society, where I have been invited to hoist the flag. There will be fun games and a lunch program in our society, followed by dinner with my family. India is the best country in the entire world and let’s make this country an even better place.”
