In a significant initiative to empower women, a free six-month Nursing Assistant training program was inaugurated in Mumbai. The event was held at Jan Seva Mandal, Juhu and supported by the SIDBI Foundation. The programme was managed by RK HIV AIDS Research and Care Centre.
The event began with a press conference attended by distinguished guests. Shri Sandeep Varma, CGM and CEO of SIDBI, served as the Chief Guest. Renowned producer, director, and actor Shri Dheeraj Kumar also attended as a Chief Guest. Special guest Shri Saurabh Bajpai further graced the occasion with his presence.
Other notable attendees included Vaishali Mhatre, Sunil Kanojia, Mahesh Manwani, Pramod Rawal, Radheshyam Gupta, Amit Doshi, M Rathi, and Suresh Soni. Additionally, 30 women enthusiastic nursing students and the dedicated RK HIV team participated in the event.
Dr Dharmendra Kumar, Chairman of RK HIV AIDS Research and Care Centre, highlighted the centre’s significant contributions, including 96,000 operations, 29,899 medical camps, one million surgeries, and services to over 42.6 million patients. The centre has also distributed medicines worth INT 2.8 Crore, provided glasses to 3.5 million individuals, and supplied wheelchairs to 130,000 people. He emphasized the importance of the training program in meeting the growing demand for skilled nursing assistants in India. He expressed gratitude for the support from the SIDBI Foundation.
Sandeep Varma praised the collaborative effort, stating, “This initiative is a testament to our commitment to enhancing healthcare services and providing young women with significant career opportunities in nursing. We believe this programme will not only benefit the students but also contribute significantly to society.”
Dheeraj Kumar shared his insights, encouraging the students to maximize this opportunity to serve humanity through healthcare. Special guest Shri Saurabh Bajpai inspired the attendees with motivating words, urging them to remain dedicated to their training and future roles as nursing assistants.
The six-month Nursing Assistant programme is designed to provide comprehensive training, combining theoretical knowledge with practical skills to women. This programme aims to equip students with the necessary competencies to excel in their roles and positively impact the healthcare system.
