Geetanjali Mishra, who plays Rajesh in Binaiferr and Sanjay Kohli’s Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, feels it’s the drive to excel that keeps motivating people. She believes ambitions are important, but without the drive to excel, one cannot give their best.
“Ambition is very important to rise, but I believe the drive to excel is far beyond ambition because, I feel, you can have a hundred ambitions, but if you don’t have the drive to excel in that one thing you are doing now, you can never fulfill your ambition,” she said.
She is not one to keep waiting for opportunities; instead, she believes in creating them. “More than taking opportunities as they come, I believe in creating opportunities by doing whatever I can in the present,” she said.
But when it comes to choosing one from many opportunities, she said she weighs down the pros and cons. She said, “Number one, when the risk involves only my loss, at that time I take the risk and go for a better opportunity, as long as it is within the limits of my ethics. But most important is number two: When there is a risk of someone else’s financial loss, reputation or anything else, I choose the opportunity where I believe I can excel better.”
Looking back at her journey, she said it has been satisfying so far and added, “I believe that I have to give my best for the project I am doing at the moment without thinking ahead. I can say this because I have earned numerous fans who are so humble that they still talk about the work I’ve done 7-8 years ago.” On being asked about how has been working with EDIT II she says, “It has been fantastic to work with the production house. I love t obe part of this show and am getting love from the audiences.
She also believes that for an actor to perform well, the environment on the set plays a big role. “Utimately, we are humans, and we get affected by our surroundings, so if the atmosphere is good and the surroundings are positive, it makes an automatic impact on everyone’s performance.”
