Babu showcasing authentic Koli dialect is soon to meet the audience. The trailer launch event of this movie was recently held with great enthusiasm. The actors made a powerful entry in the attire of their characters, dancing in Koli style to the rhythm of Agri Banjo. ‘Babu’ himself made a spectacular entrance on a bike in his unique style. Ankit Mohan, who plays the role of ‘Babu,’ exhibited a distinct swag and joined his fellow Koli brothers and sisters in the traditional dance. In this lively atmosphere, a 20-foot poster of Ankit was also unveiled. The grand event saw the participation of the film’s cast, director, producers, other team members, and the Koli community.
The trailer has heightened the audience’s curiosity about ‘Babu.’ It showcases intense action, love, enmity, and vengeance in ‘Babu’s’ life. To find out what exactly happens in his life, the audience will have to watch the movie.
Director Mayur Shinde said, “For the first time in Marathi cinema, viewers will experience the vibrant Koli dialect. This 90s-set story will evoke nostalgia for some while introducing the youth to old-school romance. The movie has it all—love, friendship, separation, enmity, revenge, and action, making it a complete entertainment package.”
Presented by Shri Samarth Krupa Production, ‘Babu’ is produced by Sunita Babu Bhoir. The screenplay and direction are handled by Mayur Madhukar Shinde. The film stars Ankit Mohan, Neha Mahajan, Ruchira Jadhav, Smita Tambe, Sanjay Khapre, and Shrikant Yadav in key roles and is set to release on August 2.
