Gurpreet Singh opens up on traveling in Mumbai local trains

Actor Gurpreet Singh who plays the role of Rafique Baig in the show Vanshaj, says that he has taken Mumbai local trains several times and while it is hectic, it is also quite fast and economical. However, he adds that he loves the experience.

“I’ve often used local trains, and each journey offers its own unique experiences. The experience of traveling by local train is quite different from my usual modes of transportation. It’s more crowded and hectic, but it’s also faster and more economical,” he says.

He adds, “One surprising thing that happened during my journey on the local train was encountering street performers who entertained passengers with their music and dance. The most memorable part of my commute experience was interacting with fellow commuters from diverse backgrounds and hearing their stories.”

In fact, commuting by train prepares him for his roles too. “Commuting on the local train before reaching the shoot location had a practical impact on my mindset. It made me more aware of the city’s hustle and bustle, which I could channel into my performance,” he says.

“Commuting on the Mumbai local train gave me a deeper appreciation for the daily life and culture of the city. It’s a microcosm of Mumbai’s vibrant energy and diversity. Considering the efficiency and convenience of the Mumbai local train, I would definitely consider using it for future shoots. It’s a reliable mode of transportation, especially during peak traffic hours.”
