Sadhu Vaswani Mission, Pune, will observe Guru Purnima on Thursday, July 10, 2025. This celebration is a sacred occasion dedicated to honouring the Guru—the one who dispels darkness and leads us towards the light.

The day will begin at 6am with the ceremonial abhishek of the sacred Samadhis of Sadhu Vaswani and Dada Vaswani, followed by 108 havans with Gayatri Mantra chants. A special satsang from 11.30 am. will follow, featuring uplifting bhajans and kirtan, and a talk by Didi Krishna Kumari, Head of Sadhu Vaswani Mission.

At 1pm, a langar - community meal, will be served to all. The evening satsang at 6:45 will include bhajans, kirtan, and the recorded pravachan of the Gurus, Sadhu Vaswani and Dada Vaswani.

Guru Purnima holds deep spiritual importance across India. Traditionally observed on the full moon day of the Ashadha month, it is a day set aside to express gratitude to the spiritual teacher, or Guru. In Indian culture, the Guru is regarded as a guide who leads seekers from the ignorance of the ego to the awakening of the soul. It is believed that the blessings of a true Guru can uplift, transform, and accelerate one’s spiritual progress.

The relationship between the Guru and disciple is central to Indian spiritual tradition. Echoing this, Didi Krishna has said, “The Guru, let us remember, is omniscient; he knows us even better than we know ourselves.”

All are invited to be a part of the celebrations.
