Guru Purnima holds deep spiritual importance across India. Traditionally observed on the full moon day of the Ashadha month, it is a day set aside to express gratitude to the spiritual teacher, or Guru. In Indian culture, the Guru is regarded as a guide who leads seekers from the ignorance of the ego to the awakening of the soul. It is believed that the blessings of a true Guru can uplift, transform, and accelerate one’s spiritual progress.
The relationship between the Guru and disciple is central to Indian spiritual tradition. Echoing this, Didi Krishna has said, “The Guru, let us remember, is omniscient; he knows us even better than we know ourselves.”
All are invited to be a part of the celebrations.
