Hiten Tejwani, who is known for his nuanced performances and calm demeanor, is currently seen in Sunjoy Waddhwa’s Meri Bhavya Life, which is produced under Sunjoy’s banner Sphereorigins. He agrees that there is, of course, a lot of competition in the entertainment industry, but he feels healthy competition only works for the best.
He said, “Working on a TV show, there is, of course, some competition between co-stars. It has to be there. But, you know, it’s a healthy competition. It’s not like, ‘I want to be the only one who looks better,’ or ‘I am better.’ What you really want is to do better for the scene. You have to perform in a way that elevates everything.”
“If your performance is good or competitive, it will only help the scene. So there’s nothing wrong with it. If the competition is healthy, then it’s always welcome,” he added. He also stressed that off-screen bonds help in perfecting a scene on screen. He said, “In Meri Bhavya Life, if off-screen you’re bonding well or doing certain things together, then on-screen it definitely helps. The chemistry comes automatically. You don’t have to work hard to create it; otherwise, it looks mechanical.”
While many of his co-stars called him the prankster on the set, he prefers to be called the “chill” one. He said, “I haven’t pulled any pranks on anyone. I think I like to keep things grounded. I’m more of the chill and cool type. I do all the fun things, and I do a bit of masti here and there, but I haven’t pulled a prank on anyone yet. And as far as I know, no one has pulled a prank on me either.“
Asked who he bonds with the most, he said that he shares a natural camaraderie with almost everyone. “Karan and I bond well. And Prisha too I have scenes with them. Then there’s Prisha’s family. I mean her on-screen family Iqbal Azad, Prachi Kowli, and everyone else. On my side as well, there’s Kruttika Desai and Khyaati Keswani, so we bond really well. I mean, I bond with everyone.”
Though he shared that it’s been just 25 episodes, he feels that the cast’s connection will deepen with time. “There’s still time, and a long way to go. Our bond will keep growing stronger over time, and it will definitely help elevate our performance on screen. Hoping for the best. I’m sure people are loving the show and enjoying it. I would really like everyone to comment or give feedback on what they’re liking, what they’re not liking, or how they’re finding the show,” Hiten shared.
