Every year on June 5, the world comes together to celebrate World Environment Day. It’s a day dedicated to raising awareness about the critical issues faced by our planet and also massive awareness campaigns to save mother Earth.
Regina Cassandra took to her Instagram handle and uploaded a video, talking about how near and dear this situation is to her heart. In the video, she says, “Ever since I did the beach cleanup for Earth Day, and spoke about it and made a noise about it, people realized that I was doing it. But I have always participated in such activities, not just the beach cleanup, but every time in Chennai, any NGO, or any social workers, bring people together to clean the city, and if I know about it, I would always go for it.”
She also kept reiterating the value and need for action when it comes to helping keep the world clean in any way possible. She said, “I would urge people to go and keep your city clean. It’s the least you can do. I would like to use the platform that I have been given as Regina Cassandra to urge people to at least think about it.”
So this World Environment Day, be like her and do your part in giving back to the world that has given us so much to be grateful for and take an initiative to make the world a better place for our future generations.
