Isha Sanjay, who plays Rajshree, Suryadada’s beloved sister known affectionately as Raju in Lakhat Ek Aamcha Dada, shared many anecdotes about her role. Speaking about her character, Isha said, “Raju failed her tenth-grade exams but is excellent at math and handles all household transactions. When Suryadada is not around, she holds the fort at home. We are shooting in Satara, and it’s a lot of fun working in this environment. I didn’t expect to get selected because when I was told about the audition, they mentioned that the character is from Satara and should sound like a native. Having lived in Pune, I was nervous about getting the Satara dialect right. But I didn’t want to miss the opportunity, so I went to Satara for the audition. Seeing the crowd there, I never thought I would be selected.”
Talking about her relationship with Suryadada and her on-screen sisters, Isha said, “We all have a very strong bond, but my relationship with Suryadada is the closest. Whenever I am in a bad mood or something significant happens in my life, I go to him first because he is older and more experienced. Although it’s been only a few days since the shooting started, the four of us sisters have developed a close bond. My closest friend on set is Jui because she is also my roommate, and we even plan and make reels together. In real life, I don’t have a biological brother but do have a biological sister. I grew up with two adopted brothers, Pratik Dada and Advait Dada. Though we don’t get to talk or meet much now, we share a very close bond. Living with brothers and sisters in one house is an experience I’m getting through this serial. Lakhat Ek Aamcha Dada is my first serial, so my family and friends are excited. Growing up watching Zee Marathi serials and now seeing myself on Zee Marathi is an indescribable joy. There hasn’t been a serial focusing on siblings’ lives, and this one feels fresh.”
Don’t forget to watch Lakhat Ek Aamcha Dada, airing every night at 8.30pm only on Zee Marathi.
