The St. Andrew’s Auditorium in Bandra came alive with energy, joy, and pure love as children from all backgrounds regaled audiences with stellar performances during Raell Padamsee’s Create Foundation’s annual events - the 16th Annual Pearl Padamsee Trophy for Excellence in Speech and Drama and the 11th Annual Create Trophy for Artistic Excellence. The events brought together young talents from mainstream schools and marginalised communities, showcasing a shared theme of ‘Breaking Barriers.’ From acting and singing to dance, mime, and more, the participants dazzled with creativity and passion, demonstrating the transformative power of the arts.
This year’s Pearl Padamsee Trophy saw finalists from prestigious schools like Swami Vivekanand International, Dhirubhai Ambani International, and Bombay International School. Simultaneously, the Create Trophy celebrated inclusivity with inspiring performances by children from NGOs like the Helen Keller Institute and The Door Step School. The esteemed panel of judges for both the trophies included Soni Razdan, Jim Sarbh, Dalip Tahil, Samir Soni, Manasi Joshi Roy, Manju Lodha, Zenobia Shroff and Shabnam Minwalla. Sharon Prabhakar, Nandita Puri and Poonam Soni among others also graced the event.
“The arts have the power to break barriers and transform lives,” said Raell Padamsee, reaffirming Create Foundation’s commitment to nurturing talent across all walks of life.
