The makers of the upcoming historical film Raja Shivaji, presented by Jio Studios and produced by Mumbai Film Company, have unveiled a striking new poster, further building anticipation around the project.
The poster highlights the grandeur and emotional depth of the film, capturing the valor, brilliance, and spirit of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Alongside the poster reveal, the team has officially announced the release of the film’s anthem, ‘Chhatrapati’, which will drop on Monday, April 13.
Actor-director Riteish Deshmukh, who has written, produced, and plays the lead role, will be seen portraying Shivaji Maharaj in a powerful new avatar. Earlier glimpses of the film have already generated buzz, showcasing key moments from the legendary king’s life and his journey to establish Swarajya.
The anthem, composed and sung by the acclaimed duo Ajay–Atul, is expected to be a major highlight, promising a grand and emotionally stirring musical experience.
The film also features a stellar ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, Vidya Balan, Mahesh Manjrekar, Sachin Khedekar, Boman Irani, Bhagyashree, Fardeen Khan, Jitendra Joshi, Amole Gupte, and Genelia Deshmukh.
Produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Genelia Deshmukh, Raja Shivaji is set for a worldwide theatrical release on May 1, 2026, in Marathi and Hindi.
